He completed hematology/oncology fellowship training at Karmanos Cancer Institute/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan as a chief clinical fellow. He earned his D.O. degree at Michigan State University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
