Dr. Richard Guthrie, DODr. Richard Guthrie, DO received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine attending on an Air Force Health Professions scholarship. After completing a rotating osteopathic internship at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Dr. Guthrie served his active duty commitment as a Flight Surgeon at Luke Air Force Base logging over 200 flying hours in F-16, F-15, and F-4 fighter aircraft, as well as many other military platforms. He completed an Internal Medicine residency Banner Good Samaritan Hospital/Phoenix VA Medical Center. Dr. Guthrie was in the inaugural Fellowship class for Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Banner University Medical Center/Phoenix VA Medical Center from 2015 – 2016 and upon graduating became the Medical Director of Palliative Care at Banner Boswell Medical Center, where he also currently serves as Chair of the Bioethics Committee. Dr. Guthrie is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine – Phoenix, and has served on the clinical faculty of Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
