Michael H. Shannon, MD, is an endocrinologist and Medical Director with Physicians of Southwest Washington, an Independent Practice Association managing Medicare Advantage and ACO contracts, in Olympia, Washington.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington.  He serves on the Editorial Board of Clinical Diabetes, and he is the Chair of the Professional Education Committee for the Washington chapter of the American Diabetes Association.Michael H.
