This session provides an overview of child trafficking for sex and labor, followed by a discussion of recommended strategies for clinicians to recognize and appropriately respond to suspected child trafficking/exploitation. The speaker takes a very practical approach to the healthcare response to child exploitation, emphasizing how to interact with trafficked patients and those at risk using a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach.This session provides an overview of child trafficking for sex and labor, followed by a discussion of recommended strategies for clinicians to recognize and appropriately respond to suspected child trafficking/exploitation.
