Dr. Newgent graduated with a D.0. degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMUCOM) in Des Moines, IA. He completed a rotating internship at Des Moines General Hospital and served in the U. S. Air Force as an emergency physician. He was board certified in and practiced emergency medicine for 17 years. Dr. Newgent also received a M.S. in administrative medicine from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He practiced sleep medicine full-time for 13 years.
