The leadership role in mental health has been assumed by psychiatrists who diagnose mental illnesses that do not exist and treat them with potentially harmful brain drugs. Dr. Glasser will explain that mental health separate from mental illness does exist if we could change from the mental illness model to a new public health model based on mental health. William was awarded an honorary doctorate in human letters by the University of San Francisco. Founder and Director of the Institute for Reality Therapy, he was authoer and editor of ten books on the topics of reality therapy and education. He was also the developer of Choice Theory.
