This workshop focuses on the nuts and bolts of providing online Ericksonian Clinical Supervision. It will address how to select an online platform, the major legal and ethical issues in providing online supervision, and a focused discussion on how to utilize the online environment to provide quality supervision. Participants will leave this workshop with a good overview about how to conduct digital (online) supervision in ethical and useful ways.This workshop focuses on the nuts and bolts of providing online Ericksonian Clinical Supervision. Dr. Dale E. BertramDr. Dale E. Bertram is a Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy in the Department of Marriage and Family Studies. Dale’s approach to teaching and clinical supervision is to invite students to expand their abilities to transform theory into practice. He also enjoys helping students expand their comfort in working with difficult and challenging cases. Dale’s primary research interest is in the rhetorical aspects of family therapy dialogue, an area in which he has published several journal articles. He also enjoys working with a team of students each year in the “rhetoric of family therapy” research project. Dale also conducts research related to distance education, online therapy, and online supervision. He has published in Family Process, Contemporary Family Therapy, Family Therapy Magazine, and other journals. Additionally, he is in the final stages of completing a book related to Ericksonian clinical supervision. Mike RankinMike Rankin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Mike received a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He received a Masters of Divinity Degree from St. Meinrad Seminary. Mike also attended the Post Masters Program in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisville. Mike has been in practice for over twenty years.
