Writer, cultural anthropologist, daughter of Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson. She was recently Visiting Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, has been the Clarence J. Robinson Professor in Anthropology and English at George Mason University, and is now Professor Emerita.
