Within the enormous complexity of human experience, the reflex to connectedness rescues the person from fragmentation. Connectedness may be therapeutically restored along four pathways: moment-to-moment, person- to-person, event-to-event and one part of the person to the other parts. Dr. Polster will discuss and demonstrate how to do this.

2. To describe four distinct procedural pathways to connectedness.

Erving Polster, Ph.D in clinical psychology, is the Director of The Gestalt Institute of San Diego, and the author of several important books, including Gestalt Therapy Integrated, Every Person’s Life is Worth a Novel, and From the Radical Center: The Heart of Gestalt Therapy, as well as dozens of articles and chapters. Erving has authored 6 books.
